Hailing from a town in southern Poland, Zofia now enchants audiences all over the world with her outstanding talent and winning personality. A graduate of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, she was personally mentored by Emmanuel Pahud and Mathieu Dufour while completing her studies in Basel with Felix Renggli. Since then she has been in demand as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral flutist in Europe and is recurrent principal flutist in the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and the Basel Symphony Orchestra.
The scholarship holder of the Polish Ministry of Culture and the Mozart-Gesellschaft Dortmund has been performing as a soloist with renowned orchestras since the age of 13, amongst them the Silesian Philharmonic, Camerata Zurich, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln or most recently the German Chamber Orchestra Berlin in the Berlin Philharmonie. Other engagements regularly take her to prestigious festivals like the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Dresden Music Festival or to play with partners like Bertrand Chamayou or Martin Fröst.
Engaged in historically informed performance practice as well as a particularly lyrical tone, Zofia makes the familiar sound in a whole new light. Under this motto, she will be releasing her debut album of Mozart's flute concertos next year with the Berlin based label Feralnote.
Always interested in diverse forms of expression, alongside her busy concert schedule, Zofia develops her own concert and teaching formats, designs her own flute cases, composes her own music and via a successful social media channel reaches up to 9M views around the globe.
