Returning to his roots, Joseph Sieber will lead the 20-year-anniversary concert: Organ & Friends, on 30th May. The orchestra, assembled specifically for this occasion, will feature soloists from the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, other Swiss professional orchestras, and students from various music academies. They will perform masterpieces from the classical orchestral repertoire specially arranged for organ.
A highlight is the world premiere of Wolfgang Sieber's toccata "Chole hole" in an orchestral version created by his son Joseph Sieber. This grand symphonic setting blends Swiss folk music with influences from the Balkans and South America. Additionally, dancer and choreographer Yvonne Sieber, along with her trio, will enchant the concert hall with their performance to Ravel's Boléro.
The production will be filmed and recorded.
Release in 2024.
