Joseph Sieber jumps in to conduct Ensemble ö in Basel, Zürich & Chur
May 18, 2025

Conductor Joseph Sieber will jump in at short notice to lead three concerts with Ensemble ö! this May, stepping into a programme of 20th- and 21st-century chamber music including Fabien Lévy’s Risâla fî-l-hob wa fî’lm al-handasa (A Small Treatise of Love and Geometry), Arnulf Herrmann’s rondeau sauvage, Tristan Murail’s Treize Couleurs du Soleil Couchant, and Morton Feldman’s Durations III.

Ensemble ö! is a Swiss collective of performers dedicated to contemporary chamber music, known for its collaborative working methods and curiosity-driven programming. Their projects often explore the relationships between sound, structure, and space, and reflect an ongoing dialogue between composers, performers, and audiences.

Joseph Sieber brings his precise and perceptive approach to this intricate material – following recent engagements with the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra and the Basel Sinfonietta.
